The Waukee Community Schools Foundation is excited to announce Adrianne Towe as its new Executive Director. The board of directors conducted an extensive search to find the right person to lead the Foundation, identifying several well-qualified candidates. The board gave significant consideration to the skills, experience, and expertise needed to guide the Foundation in the future, and feel confident Adrianne Towe is the right person for this important leadership role.
Adrianne is a graduate of Urbandale High School but spent the last 15 years traveling the world working for non-profits at the local, national, and global levels. Most recently, Adrianne oversaw the program and partnership strategy for the 25 Clubs within Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Atlanta. Prior to that role, Adrianne worked for Boys & Girls Clubs of America (Atlanta, GA), Boys & Girls Clubs of Elkhart County (Goshen, IN), and World Vision International (Johannesburg, South Africa). Adrianne holds a master’s in International Development and Intercultural Studies (Fuller Theological Seminary, Pasadena, CA) and a degree in Community Health (Central College, Pella, IA).
Adrianne brings over ten years of strategy development, community engagement, youth development, and resource and leadership development within non-profits to the Waukee Community Schools Foundation.
Board President Kristin Broberg stated, “I am so excited to welcome Adrianne to our WCSF team! She brings a wealth of knowledge and experiences in non-profit organizations. Our board of directors is looking forward to her guidance and energy focused on connecting with our community, schools, and families. Adrianne’s passion for children and education will drive her work fulfilling our mission and expanding our reach within our schools and community.”
The Foundation is excited to enter into a strategic planning process over the next few months to determine how it will sustainably move into the future as the foundation that supports a growing Waukee, an expanding school system, and a community of educators and learners who are and will continue to shape our world.
