Endow Urbandale Grant

November 4, 2021

Endow Urbandale selected the Waukee Community Schools Foundation as one of this year's grant recipients. Endow Urbandale awarded the Foundation a $6,000 grant to support mental health services for elementary students who reside in Urbandale.

"The Waukee Community School District is so unique in that we serve student from not only Waukee, but also Clive, Urbandale, and West Des Moines," said Adrianne Towe, Executive Director of the Waukee Community Schools Foundation. "We presently serve about 2,500 Urbandale residents in our Waukee school district."

The Endow Urbandale grant will be used to support mental health services for students at Walnut Hills Elementary and Radiant Elementary, both schools within the city of Urbandale.

Towe noted that these funds come at a time when they are particularly needed. "In our post-pandemic world, counselors are seeing an increase in the need for mental health counseling. These funds will ensure Waukee CSD students will receive the help and assistance they need."

The Waukee Community Schools Foundation is grateful to Endow Urbandale for this grant and the support of our ongoing mission to empower every Waukee District student to achieve their aspirations by enhancing their educational experience. The Foundation is focused on funding programs and initiatives supporting innovation, wellness, and sense of belonging for all students and staff.
