Meeting Students’ Needs

Our Waukee Community Schools Foundation recently secured two generous donations to meet students' needs. Our Foundation recognizes that our diverse student body may experience differing socioeconomic circumstances and financial hardship.

First, our Foundation secured an in-kind donation of 500 duffle bags for Waukee students in after-school programs and activities. We are so grateful to PWX Solutions for their generosity.

Second, thanks to a generous donation from a community member who wanted to make sure every Waukee District student has access to warm clothes this winter and to our partnership with the social work team and counselors across the district, the Foundation dropped off hundreds of gloves to schools.

As a Foundation, we are honored to partner with the district to ensure every student has what they need to be successful.

We are actively securing in-kind donations to support school activities and meet holiday needs. We are so glad to have made these particular connections as they support wellness and a sense of belonging for our students.
