Financial Hardship Fund Updates
The Waukee Community Schools Foundation is pleased to provide a few updates regarding our Financial Hardship Fund.
The Foundation will be making a BIG purchase of hygiene products for our school buildings. Central Standard-Craft Beer & Burgers-Waukee wanted to join our efforts so they graciously offered to host a Dine & Donate Night on April 11. Proceeds from that evening will be used to purchase additional hygiene products.
We are also funding several summer opportunities for our students to ensure fun learning experiences continue even when school is out!
The Foundation purchased several items of clothing for an elementary school in the district.
And, it's almost cap and gown season! If a graduating member of Waukee High School or Northwest High School is not able to afford a cap and gown, we've got you. Funds are available so the student can walk proud and enjoy commencement with their classmates. (Note: we work with high school counselors to process these requests. If there is a need, please work with your counselor.)
