Senior Scholarship Nominations

Senior Scholarship Nominations

The Foundation awards four scholarships to each graduating class, two from Waukee High School and two from Waukee Northwest High School, with a $2,500 post-secondary scholarship. The scholarship program invests in students who have made a positive impact on their family, school, and community during their time in the Waukee Community School District.

Guidelines:

  • Nominations can only come from WCSD employees (all employee types and tenures are welcome to nominate students).
  • The Foundation does not review GPA or resumés as part of the scoring criteria. We are interested in identifying students who are actively making a positive impact on the people and world around them, in small or big ways, and embody the priorities of the Foundation in how they live, work, play, and build community. Foundation priorities are: Innovation, Wellness, and Sense of Belonging.
  • Each district employee can submit up to two (2) nominations.
  • Nominations are accepted from October 15th to November 15th.
  • Nominees will be notified following the closing of the nomination portal and asked to confirm interest in the scholarship process and schedule their interview time.
  • Award letters and scholarship checks will be presented to four seniors, two from Waukee High School and two from Waukee Northwest High School.
