The Waukee Community Schools Foundation is proud to have invested $77,922.59 in our schools, students, and teachers during the 2018-2019 school year.

We have a proud tradition of awarding community-raised funds to faculty and students who strive for educational excellence in the Waukee School District. Our Board works closely with school administrators and teaching staff to reach beyond traditional programs and uncover new and exciting tools to engage students in the classroom.

$32,922.59 Classroom Grants

This money funded innovative projects that can be used year-to-year, with a district-wide impact. The foundation awarded grants for a permanent school mural, an outdoor learning space, and STEM kits.

$20,000 Professional Development grants

The Foundation works with District officials to provide teachers the ability to attend conferences, workshops, and seminars to further their own learning.

$25,000 “Funding Your Future” scholarships

A total of 25 graduating seniors received $1,000 each to fund their future aspirations. The graduates were recognized for the positive impacts made on their families, school and community.

The Foundation’s impact on Waukee schools is possible through the generous support of our donors, sponsors, and volunteers. We are so grateful for your continued support, and we are excited to do even more in 2019-2020!
