Senior Scholarships
Senior Scholarships
Beginning in 2025, the Foundation will award four seniors from each graduating class, two from Waukee High School and two from Waukee Northwest High School, with a $2,500 post-secondary scholarship.
The scholarship program invests in students who have made a positive impact on their family, school, and community during their time in the Waukee Community School District.
All nominations are submitted by WCSD staff. We intentionally don’t make the process or timeline known to students to avoid advocacy leading to student-initiated nominations. We believe that how a student shows up in their classes, extracurriculars, with their friends, in the lunchroom, etc., is their advocacy–and this is what we ask district staff to look for.
The Foundation does not review GPA or resumés as part of the scoring criteria. We are interested in identifying students who are actively making a positive impact on the people and world around them, in small or big ways, and embody the priorities of the Foundation in how they live, work, play, and build community.
Foundation priorities are: Innovation, Wellness, and Sense of Belonging.
Congratulations Seniors!
Congrats to the class of 2024 scholarship recipients. We are rooting for you.
